Green Hydrogen Production via Biomass & MSW Pyrolysis
This webinar is broadcast in English. A French replay will be available later.
The energy transition is accelerating, and hydrogen is playing a strategic role in global decarbonization policies. But beyond electrolysis-based green hydrogen, a complementary pathway is gaining serious industrial traction: thermochemical conversion of biomass and municipal solid waste (MSW) via pyrolysis.
During this webinar, Mr. Liberty Gura, Co-Founder & Principal Engineer at TXB Energy LLC, will present how high-yield fast pyrolysis can produce green hydrogen from waste streams — without combustion, without grid dependency, and at a fraction of the energy cost of electrolysis.
💡 Why is pyrolysis attracting attention? Unlike electrolysis, which requires large amounts of electricity and water, pyrolysis thermochemically decomposes organic material in an oxygen-free environment, producing hydrogen-rich syngas (up to 65% H₂) — and the system is self-powered by its own output.
🌍 From waste to energy: TXB Energy’s technology processes a wide variety of feedstocks — forest residue, agricultural waste, MSW, tires, plastics — into green hydrogen, electricity, sustainable aviation fuel, methanol, and biochar, a carbon-sequestering co-product with agricultural and industrial applications.
⚡ Pyrolysis vs. Electrolysis — key numbers: Producing 500 kg of hydrogen requires 26,000 kW via electrolysis — vs. only 974 kW via pyrolysis. A 26x energy efficiency advantage, with no water consumption and no weather dependency.
🔎 Webinar agenda:
- Understanding the pyrolysis process and how it differs from electrolysis
- Exploring the range of feedstocks and green products (H₂, electricity, SAF, methanol, biochar)
- Discovering TXB Energy’s proven technology (operational since 2010)
- Assessing deployment timelines: concept to commissioning in 9–14 months
- Evaluating pyrolysis as a scalable pathway for decarbonized hydrogen production
